Our Disc Jockeys
Ed Leyba has been in the entertainment business for many years. Starting at age of three performing with "The Fantastic's" acrobatic group. Here he learned about performing by Mr. and Mrs. Finnagin who taught many of today's stars and stars of yesterday. Ed Leyba has appeared in a super bowl commercial and performed on many theatrical stages. As a gymnast and a coach who has taught acrobatics, acting, and cheerleading, he has choreographed cheerleaders along with mix music for their performances. Was a member of the New Mexico Air National Guard Honor Guard Precision Rifle Drill Team, Color Guard, and funeral detail.
As a member of the New Mexico Air National Guard in the ECM and Sensor Shops, Ed is able to use his electronic background to entertain the crowd through the sound and lighting systems he creates. Ed has worked with High Risk youth through the Counter drug program and is able to work in a high stress environment. By being involved with many civic and Catholic fraternal organizations, Ed is able to give back to the community.
Ed has been a member of the American Disc Jockey Association for 3 years, during the last 5 years has trained and been an asset to other DJs in the area. He has assisted numerous Albuquerque DJs in business management and in performance enhancement. Ed has owned NM ForPlay for 6 years and worked with numerous local DJs before that. Ed Leyba had worked with John Quintana of "The Main Attraction" DJ service for the last 7 years.
John Q had operated the "The Main Attraction" for over 30 years, and was one of the first DJs to operate a Video Jockey service in the early 80's. John Q turned over his company in May 2005 to Ed Leyba.
Vickie Leyba
Vickie Leyba has been planning and insuring parties have been fun and entertaining since High School. Vickie was in charge of children's birthday parties at McDonalds Restaurants for several years. Her knowledge and training for event planning has been used for different events for over the past 10 years. She has planned and executed engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies, holiday carnivals, fundraiser's, surprise parties, award banquets, and many more events.
Her knowledge in cake decorating, candy making, and other pastry items have created a flair to many events. Vickie is constantly improving her skills in event planning constantly through many classes teaching new techniques.
Vickie has implemented many new and unique ideas that have made many annual events create a new zeal and energy. Vickie has also worked with many Local DJs and with John Quintana. She is the backbone of the company answereing questions and doing the behind the scenes work at many events. Vickie also runs the day to day operations at the business.
